Sukhad Foundation is a youth-run NGO in India, actively working with the goal of supporting marginalised communities in accessing basic needs, ranging from nutrition and sanitation to education and employment. Keeping in mind the different layers of inequality that women in India from socioeconomically underserved communities encounter every single day, affecting their lives in domestic, professional, and public spaces, Sukhad’s work starts from the grassroots, dispelling stigma around menstruation and raising awareness about menstrual health and hygiene.
By working with Sukhad, Safe Steps hopes to reach out to more women to initiate conversations about the importance of being more comfortable in your own skin. And in line with this goal, we hope to build a stronger and more resilient community, marked by sisterhood and the ambition to cultivate an equal tomorrow.
